When you click on this link, you may see the following at the top of your Internet Explorer browser.
SAVE the application on your computer.
  Click on the yellow bar and choose Download File. (This may not come up on your computer)
  Choose Save, not open.
  Save the zipped folder to the desktop.
  It will come up with "Download Complete", click Close, do not click Run.
  The name of this folder is Medical_Application_2012.zip
  The medical application files are attached in a zipped folder.
  You will need to “unzip” or “extract all” files in this zipped folder.
  Right click on the zipped folder and choose either Unzip or Extract All.
  Extract the files to the desktop.

Medical Application
  Fill out the application completely.
  Be sure to correctly fill out the specifics for the contract you are applying for.
  Include a resume if you have one.  We love to receive resumes and appreciate the time and effort it takes to put together a resume.   However, we will not review a resume unless it is accompanied by a completed application form and the transcribed test dictations.

 

Applicant Standards, Guidelines, and Sample Reports.
  Please use the Applicant Guidelines and Standards and follow them exactly.  We need to know that not only can you transcribe the dictation very well but that you can also follow directions and produce a document that is formatted exactly the way our client requests.
  We know that a lot of research is necessary to resolve difficult dictation and in test dictations you are limited because you do not have access to related reports.  We have provided you with sample reports; you will be able to confirm some of what you hear by looking carefully through some of the sample reports.  (Remember dictators often repeat the same thing from one report to another.)

 

Transcription Test.
  Load the dictation files into your Transcription Software and transcribe.
  The transcription test consists of five voice files, approximately 11 minutes of dictation.  These dictations are of various difficulties so we can get a true assessment of your skills and experience.  If you are not 100% sure of any part of the dictation then leave a blank. If you do not know what a dictator is saying, what a word means, or you cannot confirm a medication then leave a blank as instructed in the guidelines. Excessive blanks in your transcription will let us know what level you are ready for but guesses or incorrect transcription will disqualify you.
  After you complete the transcription tests, copy and paste them at the end of your Application document.
    We will be looking closely at the following:

 Did you follow the instructions and standards exactly?

 Did you guess at any of the dictation you did or did you use good judgement in using blanks where you were not sure?
   
*
 Did you use the keys and samples to help you research some of the more difficult dictation?
   
*
 Did you proofread everything?
   
*
 How complete was your test?

 

Express Scribe Transcription Software Instructions.
  Instructions on downloading and using Express Scribe Transcription Software are included in the download if you would like to use Express Scribe to transcribe the dictation.

 

What to expect after you submit your application.

 You will be notified of your result whether you pass or fail. However, we do not provide copies of your corrected application testing.
*
 You will receive results via e-mail, so watch your SPAM folder in case it goes there. It is our goal to respond as quickly as possible but due to high volumes of applications received, if you have not heard within a week, please feel free to inquire about the status of your application.
*
 Your application and testing will be assessed on accuracy, formatting, and ability to follow direction closely.
*
 If your application meets our criteria, you will be notified and offered an opportunity to proceed to the next step in the intake process.

Submit your application
  When your application is complete, attach it to an email and send it to applicant@inscribe.us (Put this email address in your email program and send the application.)
